Washers Box

Game used

The official game used by the Federation is provided with two (2) 12’’ x 12’’ boxes and 5 inches high and 6 washers (3 per player and/or team) 95 g

Box layout and throw distance

The boxes are placed at a distance of 21 feet center to center of the pipes.

Players must not extend beyond the front of the box with their feet.

Scoring

1 point at washer distance from the box

3 points inside the box

5 points inside the ring

The first to reach just 21 points wins the game.

Progress of a game

The game can pit 2 individuals or 2 teams of two players against each other.

Each player or team has 3 washers

This one consecutively throws its 3 washers into the other box.

The “cancellation” system is used to count points. For example: the first player throws and obtains 6 points, the second player obtains 3 points (6-3= 3 points). So it’s 3 to 0 for the first player.

To determine which player (or team) starts the game, lots are drawn. The winner decides who starts. After playing the first round (each with its 3 throws), the one who won or canceled this round begins the next.

The winner is the one who reaches 21 points just after both players have completed their throws.

The game ends when a player obtains 21 points without exceeding it. If the player exceeds 21, he is in an busted situation and loses his turn. No points are counted and the second player on his side can count all his points without exceeding 21.

There comes a situation where the score of 20 to 19 for the person who starts the round means:

That the point you have to make can make you lose

Important* In tournament mode we do race horse first to get 21 at the end of the round*
